Upcoming Marvel Movies

This is the current official list of upcoming Marvel movies. This is an annual update and there are some big changes from last year’s list.
Removed from the list are Magneto, Namor, and Nick Fury.
Nick Fury does seem to be appearing in all the Avengers movies so Sam Jackson is practically the star of several movies.
Ant Man, Captain America, and Thor are all still in the plan as well as an Avengers movie.
As I always say, it’s a great time for Marvel fans.
Iron Man
From what has been revealed so far, Iron Man could be the greatest superhero movie. It has a phenomenal cast. Every image Marvel has revealed looks fantastic and the trailer rocks. Look out for surprise appearances from other Avengers in this one.

The Incredible Hulk
Even though The Incredible Hulk hits theaters in the month following Iron Man, hardly anything has been revealed about it. We can expect a trailer in March, but it seems they are trying to keep quiet about this new Hulk film.

Ant-Man
With “Shaun of the Dead” director, Edgar Wright attached to the film you know this movie is going to rock. For those not familiar with Ant-Man, He is Dr. Hank Pym who has created a way to shrink himself and communicate with insects. Ant-Man is one of the original Avengers. He later becomes “Giant Man.”
Could Simon Pegg star in another one of Wright’s films? Let’s hope so. These two are gold together.
Captain America
Nick Cassavetes ihas been rumored to direct this film but Marvel official status on the movie is that a writer is engaged. The writer being David Self.
Thor
Thor might b Marvel’s biggest challenge in translating to film. Most of Marvel’s heroes are grounded and makes you feel like they really could exist. With Thor he really is the god of thunder.
Matthew Vaughn was set to direct this move but Marvel’s official status on the film is “writer engaged.” Hopefully that is only a mistake.
The Avengers
The plan is to have individual character chapters before this movie and then bring them all together to create the Avengers. That means Iron Man, Hulk, Ant-Man, Captain America, Thor, Nick Fury and more all in the same film. Jon Favreau is interested in directing.
That’s the list of Marvel’s self produced movies but all look out for these movies licensed to other studios.

Nick Fury was not an orignal Avenger… If they went with individual chapters, they would need to make a “Wasp” movie. Somehow, all of this doesn’t look like it’s going to happen.

They don’t need to make a Wasp movie. They intend on making the movies listed above. The Avengers movie taking place is going to depend on how well Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk do in the box office.

Obviously, the Wasp’s back story will be covered in the Ant-Man movie. And technically, Cap was not an original Avenger, although he arrived very early on. You wouldn’t think of making it without him.

yea, i saw ironman today and it blew me away. it was so awesome! and im excited for the hulk, and for the wolverine movie (i heard deadpool was gunna be in it!!) but i cant wait for the avengers, it’s gunna be SICK!!

No and likely any special appearances like that wouldn’t be known until they actually started filming these movie. Also, chances are those two are lumped in with X-Men and filming rights are owned by Fox.

marvel has plans for x-man origins:wolverine, iron man 2, thor, spigerman 4, cap. america:the first avenger, and then the actual avenger’s movieplanned out over the next three years, check there website

I heard about Iron Man 2. I also heard there may be an Iron Man 3, pending on how numbero dos goes. I think it will be interesting to see Antman in the box offices. Not alot of people outside of the comic industry have heard much of Antman (from what I’m told anyway). Does marvel even own the rights to the spider man movies? I’d like to see a Runaways movie, but I know they’re not that popular.

Sony owns the filming rights for Spider-Man.
A Runaways movie has been announced with Brian K. Vaughan writing the screenplay.

with the way movies are being ,made…the only thing left too do would be comics..sci fi..and cartoons! It is hard too scare poeple,…every love movie in the world had been done. Random non sence violence is stupid and boring,…and making someone laugh? Only a few are realy good at it. i would like too see marvel do…Iron fist,..Jack Russell As Were wolf by night, and The Mironuts! They have great storylines!

to respond to morgan’s comment, you seem to know your comics and yes, there are a whole slew of characters that would be entertaining to watch on the big screen aside from ol’ Doc Pym, but I suggest this. Ultron. Ant-Man be damned, if it means I get to see Ultron cause his special brand of mayhem, its definitely worth the price of admission. But I don’t like the idea of that goof Simon Peg as a super hero, even a lame superhero like Ant-Man. He’s good for a laugh, but I could never believe that guy as a scientist.

Dont nobody want to see dis movie, marvel should be more focus on the thor movie, captain america movie,or the most important one of them all the avengers movie that if i might say should be one of the best marvel movie that should be coming out.

hey guys at marvel if yall read this i think you should follow those video games of yours. have a movie or series of movies where all the worlds villians unite and all the heros must come together! come on now we all in this known universe (or atleast the US)know that that would be awesome and prob rock the box office! iven if they dont like one of the heros in the movies theyll wanna see their favorite!!!

apparently there may be a Secret Wars movie within the next few years, has anyone heard about the comics from years ago? its all marvel, and i think i remember hearing it includes DC heroes and villains.

i think that there should be a spiderman 4 movie with carnage, the vulture and the lizard.
also a hulk vs ironman
afterwards a movie with thor, captain america, hulk, iron man, spiderman and maybe wolverine.
