I have to agree a hundred percent with Comic Fan, mixing and straying from the original sucks. Especially since I've been reading comics since before Spider-Man #1 hit my local drugstore revolving rack. Yep old guy and there was no such thing as comic book specialty shops yet. Not for another twenty years. While certainly though Wilson Fisk was mainly a Daredevil villain he was no stranger to Spider-Man's camp either. So when I saw Michael Clarke Duncan who even though he's a got the build and is a decent actor playing Kingpin in the Daredevil movie it actually kinda hurt. I mean what, they have to destroy originality and rewrite history to placate someone or something? I mean it’s just like the obscurants who are trying to rewrite Mark Twains Huck Finn and Tom Sawyer books so the N word doesn’t appear in them. Things like that which rob us of history and heritage simply aren’t right and will rob all future generations of what can be learned from what such things have to teach us. While to further compound such bad moves from Marvel I've heard the Thor movie whether original or ultimate, either way Thor will be minus his winged helmet, original caped outfit and have the bright shiny steel looking ultimate Thor hammer instead of the cruder, more Northman looking one of the original. I sincerely hope this is all misinformation but I guess only time will tell.

As a fan of the actual Marvel Universe, and not the Ultimate BS, the issue isn't that this Nick Fury is black. The issuer is that the movie is not "Ultimate Iron Man," and so if Nick Fury is to be included, he should be the Nick Fury of the real Marvel Universe.

Mixing and matching is a ridiculous move, and I know I'm not the only one put off by having any influence of the Ultimates in these films, since the Ultimates are just shitty "remakes" of the original comics.

Im not complaining, because Sam L. Jackson is the best :!:
But this isn't the first time Marvel have done this, remember Daredevil, well in that the Kingpin was black and he was originaly white.
But Sam L. Jackson suits the role entirely!

No, a stupid attitude is blaming "PC" for a creative choice in building an alternate Marvel universe.
Nick Fury isn't changed to anything. You might want to reread the above post or maybe pick up a comic book once in a while.

Sam Jackson IS Nick Fury in Iron Man and Marvel has used his likeness for the character since 2001 in comics and animated features.

Get over it if we don't like a black 'Nick Fury'? Stupid attitude. Marvel came up with a character and a backstory. Changing him to a black man changes the character completely. For fans who've given Marvel their support over the years it looks like pandering to PC sensibilities.

No, it is pandering to PC sensibilities.

I shall repeat this here:

SHIELD: When you absolutely have to capture every motherf**kin' criminal on the planet, accept no substitutes.
