Matt Reeves in Talks to Direct Cloverfield 2

Variety is reporting that Cloverfield directer, Matt Reeves is in early talks to direct a sequel to the box office hit.
Cloverfield had a $25 million budget and made $46 million in it’s opening weekend.
Matt Reeves is in early talks with Paramount to direct a “Cloverfield” sequel, and he has also made a deal with GreeneStreet Films to direct “The Invisible Woman.”
Timing of the projects will depend on how quickly Paramount can complete discussions with Reeves, producer J.J. Abrams and scribe Drew Goddard to scare up another monster tale for the “Cloverfield” sequel. There’s a good chance the sequel will be Reeves’ next film, in which case he will direct “The Invisible Woman” afterward.

coo… What you think of the movie brax? after blogging about it and all?
I didnt love it but I liked it enough. I also like the mystery & hype campaign and I’ll enjoy that too if they can pull it off again, though the payoff can never be as good as the anticipation.

I’m going to look like an ass but I still haven’t seen Cloverfield yet. The weather has been keeping me inside and I don’t want to watch any bootleg.

at the end of the first one after all those 15 mins of freakin credits is this 3 second audio clip which sounds like “evila llits sti” and its all grainy sounding, but if you play it back words it says ITS STILL ALIVE

I think thats confirmed though, its as easy as someone with a cellphone grabbing a soundbyte. Theres the imdb faq with all kinds of spoilers.
