Jonah Hex Movie on the Way

Tuesday, July 24th, 2007 @ 12:42 am

The Announcement has been made that DC Comics’ Western Jonah Hex is going to be adapted to film. Jonah Hex is an anti-hero with a disfigured face. The movie will feature supernatural elements like the Jonah Hex series from the 90’s.

“Crank” Writers, Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, are on board to write.

If done right Jonah Hex could become a franchise and even launch a new era of western films.

Great effects and make up are a must to pull off a convincing Hex and “supernatural” elements. Campyness will kill the movie. Jonah Hex needs to be a smart movie with a high body count. The film makers should defiantly look at some Eastwood movies like the “Dollars Trilogy.”
