Spider-Man 3

The movie event of the summer? HA! Try the movie event of the YEAR!
The New Goblin, Sandman, and Venom. How can Spidey deal with all these bad guys?
I’ll tell you this, in the comics Venom became such a problem for Spider-Man that he had to fake his death just so Venom would leave him alone.

Remember you can see all the latest news and information right here in The Braxcave.

Peter Parker has finally managed to piece together the once-broken parts of his life, maintaining a balance between his relationship with Mary-Jane and his responsibility as Spider-Man. But more challenges arise for our young hero. Peter’s old friend Harry Obsourne has set out for revenge against Peter; taking up the mantle of his late father’s persona as The New Goblin, and Peter must also capture Uncle Ben’s real killer, Flint Marko, who has been transformed into his toughest foe yet, the Sandman. All hope seems lost when suddenly Peter’s suit turns jet-black and greatly amplifies his powers. But it also begins to greatly amplify the much darker qualities of Peter’s personality that he begins to lose himself to. Peter has to reach deep inside himself to free the compassionate hero he used to be if he is to ever conquer the darkness within and face not only his greatest enemies, but also…himself. www.imdb.com

Pan’s Labyrinth

Pan's Labyrinth

Directed by Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy) and starring Doug Jones (Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer) this movie seems like a no-brainer for comics fans to watch.

In 1944 fascist Spain, a girl, fascinated with fairy-tales, is sent along with her pregnant mother to live with her new stepfather, a ruthless captain of the Spanish army. During the night, she meets a fairy who takes her to an old faun in the center of the labyrinth. He tells her she’s a princess, but must prove her royalty by surviving three gruesome tasks. If she fails, she will never prove herself to be the the true princess and will never see her real father, the king, again. www.imdb.com

28 Weeks Later

28 Weeks Later

Zombie fans who need a fix can catch this sequel to 28 Days Later. I’m a little unsure how good this one will be because Danny Boyle will not be directing this one. However he is still going to be an executive producer.

The film starts six months after the Rage virus has spread throughout the city of London. The United States Army has restored order and is repopulating the quarantined city, when a carrier of the Rage virus enters London and unknowingly re-ignites the spread of the deadly infection, wreaking havoc on the entire population. www.imdb.com

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

It is time for the final chapter for Captain Jack Sparrow. The last Pirates movie left us on a big cliff hanger. Expect this one to be so action packed that even Keira Knightly takes up arms and joins the fight.

After Elizabeth (Keira Knightly), Will (Orlando Bloom), and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) rescue Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) from the clutches of the Kraken, they must face their foes, Davey Jones (Bill Nighy) and Lord Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander). Beckett, now with control of Jones’ heart, forms a dark alliance with him in order to rule the seas and wipe out the last of the Pirates. Now, Jack, Barbossa, Will, Elizabeth, Tia Delma, and crew must call the Pirate Lords from the four corners of the globe, including the infamous Sao Feng (Chow-Yun Fat), to a gathering that will make their final stand against Beckett, Jones, Norrington, the Flying Dutchman, and the entire East India Trading Company. www.imdb.com
