TV

LOST: Not in Portland

Lost

After 12 weeks it is finally back!
A big questions is if the 12 week hiatus made fans anticipate this episode or just give up on Lost altogether. I get the feeling that (former) fans frustrated with the shows plot will just not bother with this episode. Everyone else be prepared for some big revelations as this show flashes back to Juliet’s history and maybe we will lean why Ben didn’t just leave the island to see a surgeon

On the operating table, Ben’s life is in Jack’s hands, but the doc’s gambit to free Kate and Sawyer hits a geographical snag. Still, the runaways elude Danny and the other guards, with the help of unlikely allies. Flashbacks follow Juliet’s medical career, which has a very personal component to it. www.tvguide.com

Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born #1

Dark Tower Comic

Fans of Stephen King’s Dark Tower series are going to love this prequel. Marvel has assembled some great talent for this project which Stephen King himself is overseeing.

“The man in black fled across the desert, and the gunslinger followed.” With those words, millions of readers were introduced to Stephen King’s Roland—an implacable gunslinger in search of the enigmatic Dark Tower, powering his way through a dangerous land filled with ancient technology and deadly magic. Now, in a comic book personally overseen by King himself, Roland’s past is revealed! Sumptuously drawn by Jae Lee and Richard Isanove, adapted by long-time Stephen King expert Robin Furth (author of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower: A Concordance) and scripted by New York Times Best-seller Peter David, this series delves deep into Roland’s origins—the perfect introduction to this incredibly realized world, while long-time fans will thrill to adventures merely hinted at in the novels. Be there for the very beginning of a modern classic of fantasy literature! www.marvel.com

I do think lost needs to seriously improve over the melodrama laden episodes it left off on.And a friend just recommended me the dark tower series yesterday,do you read them yourself? I’ll def have to check those out.

Its really worth your time, you should check it out, the second season came out on dvd last month, and nickelodeon has picked it up for another two seasons. Its of the action/commedy variety, and both of those elemnts are done really well.Just thought Id pass that along… ;)
