Coming to Spike Television is Afro Samurai, the animated epic based on the graphic novel by Takashi Okazaki. The animation is produced by and stars Samuel L. Jackson as the title character.

Now added to the cast are Ron Perlman(Hellboy) and Kelly Hu(X2).
Afro Samurai is a 5 part series that begins January 4th on SPIKE TV. It is about a black samurai’s hunt for his father’s murderer. Ron Perlman will play “Justice,” the murderer of Samurai’s father.

The DVD of the series will be available in the spring of ‘07.
