This image by André Holzmeister has been circulating around the net. Some forums are even claiming that this is a leaked image of Venom from Spider-Man 3.
It is a beautiful piece of work and likely does look like how Venom will be in the movie.

Venom was revealed in a special Spider-man 3 trailer that was presented at Comic-Con 06. André Holzmeister rendering looks very much like what was seen so I can understand peoples confusion.
