Casting call. X-Factor the Movie.
Monday, September 18th, 2006 @ 5:50 pm

With the success of the X-Men films Hollywood is bound to be looking for another X-movie to make. For fun I’ve already cast an Excalibur movie, Casting call. Excalibur the movie (X4).
X-Factor started out as a team of mutants made up of the original X-Men members, Cyclops, Beast, Iceman, Angel, and Jean Grey. Eventually they rejoined the X-Men and X-Factor had a new roster, Havok, Polaris, Multiple Man, Strong Guy, Wolfsbane, and Quicksilver. Since then the team had seen new members come and go and eventually disbanded. The angle for this X-team was that they worked with the U.S government, unlike the X-Men who were actually branded as outlaws.
Lets get on with the casting.

Havok , Alex Summers is the brother of Cyclops. His gift is to absorb “cosmic energy” and release it from his body in the form of “plasma blasts.” He was the leader of X-Factor and would be the main character in the movie.
Jensen Ackles would be great to play the role of Havok. He has shown that he can carry a show by co-staring in the WB hit, “Supernatural.” His appearance resembles Alex Summers and his being in the film would be sure to draw fans of “Supernatural.”

Polaris (a.k.a. Lorna Dane) is a mutant who like the X-Men nemesis, can control electromagnetic energy. Lorna has long suspected that she is the daughter of Magneto and recent events in the comics have confirmed this. Polaris has been a long time love interest of Havok’s.
Lorna Dane, like most “super heroes,” may be best played by a relatively unknown actress. She would also need sex appeal and have an appearance that would be believable for her to be related to magneto. German born Diane Kruger fits the bill perfectly.

Multiple Man - Eric Dane
He played Multiple Man in X3 so why not play him again. Jamie Madrox, the Multiple Man has the ability to create duplicates of himself.

Quicksilver is Marvel’s answer to DC popular character the Flash. Pietro Maximoff, another illegitimate child of Magneto, has the mutant gift of speed. He moves fast and he thinks fast. His mutation gives him the viewpoint that everything around him is moving in slow motion. This has given the character an impatient and arrogant temperament.
James Marsters who is best known for his roles on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Smallvile, is a perfect fit for this character.

Forge is a mutant who is brilliant when it comes to technology. It has been said that he can invent anything. He is Native American, a trained shaman, and served in the Vietnam War. He has lent his gift to the X-Men and the government. Much of the technology in the X-Mansion have been contributed by forge.
Tom Jackson is a well known actor in Canada. His large frame and physique would make him a believable war vet and his charm will make him a likable character in the movie.
In the movie Forge would be the teams “Q” and the mature experienced member. With him the movie, X-Factor would be full of fun gadgets and technological marvels.

I don’t think Jubilee was ever a member of X-Factor.
She was however, in all three X-Men films, though she was nothing more than a background character. In the first movie she was played by Katrina Florece and in X2 and The Last Stand she was played by Kea Wong.
