I’ve never shopped on eBay. In fact I’ve done very little shopping online at all because I’m worried about getting ripped off. Recently Rasobasi420 alerted me to this story of revenge and justice

This blog was created by a guy who purchased a laptop for £375 from someone on eBay. He had sent the money pretty much right away but the seller didn’t send the laptop until months later. After finally receiving the laptop it was nothing like the description and was in fact broken.
So he took the junk laptop and took out the hard drive. On the hard drive he found all kinds of embarrassing and personal information.

yes yes yes…
a peer of mine sold an empty cell-phone box on ebay…
in the description of it, right in the middle, it said something like “this box does not contain a cellular device”…
now, the description of the cell phone was very long so the person that bought it probably didn’t read it…
thus, that peer made a lot of money (as he did it repetitively) and he didn’t get in trouble because it was in the description that there wasn’t a “cellular device” in the box…
an ebay’er got mad at him and sent him an e-mail that said something like:
“what kind of idiot would buy an empty cell phone box!?”…
my peer replied:
“apparently you sir”…
ahhh, good memories of high school, huh???

that is some funny stuff. moral of the story: always wipe your hard drive before you sell the computer!
